Voyager I was launched into space in 1977 as part of a mission to study the outer reaches of our solar system. In the event that the probe was ever found by intelligent life forms, it also held a gold-plated audio-visual disc which carries significant data and observations about life forms on our gentle planet.
It also included a map and an invitation.
Alien beings have intercepted our probe and accepted our invitation. Earth’s gold-plated record, originally intended to be an introduction to life on earth, has been misinterpreted by the visitors as pointing to a location full of resources to be mined. Beginning by abducting the easiest of life forms (cattle), they have become thirsty for more.
In recent days, an orbiting alien mother ship has been sighted and the alien intentions are clear. Once the countdown from the mother ship reaches zero, a massive alien invasion will begin, and there will be no hope for our survival.
Luckily for us, an alien scout spacecraft crashed near Wylie, Texas many years ago. Since then, a secret government agency known as USPEC has been studying the debris from the crash site and has been diligent in attempting to recreate the scout ship’s alien console.
As the countdown nears its end, the bulk of employees from the USPEC have retreated to their bunkers. You were not given clearance to enter the safety of one of them, but you have stumbled upon the primary government compound and have decided to spend your last hour on Earth trying to halt the alien attack before it even begins.
It is up to you and your group to:
The countdown is nearing an end. It is up to you to stop the invasion.
You have 60 minutes. The clock is ticking.
